Turkish menswear brand Suvari outlet opens in UWTC

International brands are making a bee-line for Nepal. Well-known menswear brand from Turkey, Suvari comes as the latest in the series with a formal launch in the valley.

“People are now looking for brands with quality and that is exactly why we have brought in Suvari — a Turkish brand which is not just based in Turkey but in thirteen other countries, making Nepal the fourteenth one,” said Akhil K Chapagain, proprietor of Suvari and chairman of Akhil Trading Concern Pvt Ltd.

The brand has been introduced in Nepal for the first time, also in South-East Asia, by Mediterian Link Holdings Pvt Ltd. Three well-known businessmen Akhil Chapagain, Kush Kumar Joshi and Shukuntalal Hirachan have stake in the company. The brand was first established in 1997 as a shirt brand but as the product and brand name caught up with customers, its products ranged from suits, trousers, shirts, blazers to all necessary accessories for men. “Suvari collection is a customer focused brand and designed in accordance with the newest emerging trends, and our prices range from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 250000,” added Chapagain.

“It is a brand that designs,produces and sells men clothing in its domestics and international stores and includes collections of men’s clothing inclusive of shirting and suiting and casual clothing,” he said. “Suvari has also developed Suvari Innovative clothing category that gives importance to functionality of the products, and within this category there are shirts designed with different size in shirt collars and shirts body sizes,” added Chapagain.

The collection has shirts that stand upright even without ties, trousers and belts that are flexible in size. Shirts are all priced equally at Rs 2,000, suits range from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000. The store is also offering gifts worth Rs 3,000 on any purchase over Rs 15,000 as an introductory offer.
