Toyota Etios Liva launched in Nepali market

United Traders Syndicate (UTS), the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles for Nepal, on Thursday, launched the all-new Toyota Etios Liva for the Nepali market. The new Etios Liva was launched by Ritu Singh Vaidya, the managing director of the company.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Kailash Rajbhandari, the deputy director of the company, said the new flagship hatchback has been launched to reflect the image of Toyota “which stands for quality, durability and reliability”.

“We are hopeful that the new Etios Liva will play a crucial role to take the Toyota brand to a newer height in the Nepali market with its sophisticated features,” Rajbhandari said.

The Etios Liva runs on a 1,197 cc 16-valve petrol engine that generates a power of 78.9 bph at 5,600 rpm and torque of 104 Nm at 3,100 rpm. It has a five-speed manual gearbox.

In a statement, UTS says the new Etios Liva boasts a mileage of 15.1 km/liter in city areas and 17.71 km/liter in highways.

The hatchback has McPherson Strut Suspension in the front and Torsion Bean Suspension in the rear promising a smooth ride, company officials said at the launching ceremony.

According to the company, the hatchback is “perfect among corporate riders.” It has a wider cabin space that can host up to five individuals, has a 45-liter fuel tank capacity and 251 liters of boot capacity.

Other features in the new Etios Liva include electronic power steering, multi-function steering wheel, power windows, and remote trunk opener, among others.

Similarly, safety packages in the vehicle include ABS, EBD, airbags, impact absorbing body structure and engine immobilizer, the company statement says.

Available in seven different color variations, the price of Etios Liva has been set at Rs 3,345,000 for Nepal.

The company announced a discount of up to Rs 140,000 targeting the upcoming festive season.
