Pioneer Moto Corp, the authorized distributor of Datsun vehicles for Nepal, has launched its urban cross car — Redi-Go in the domestic market.

The new offering from Datsun was launched jointly by Atul Sahani, vice president, exports of Nissan Motors of India and Sandeep Sharda, managing director of Pioneer Moto Corp.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Sahani said that Datsun has established itself as a competitive automobile brand in Nepal even though it has a short history of less than two years. Stating that around 800 units of different Datsun models have been sold in the Nepali market so far, Sahani said: “With the launch of new Redi-Go, we aim to make our presence more strong. Redi-Go suits Nepal’s road condition and focuses on three aspects of riders-fun, freedom and confidence.”

On the occasion, Sharda informed that Redi-Go is affordable and will be available priced between Rs 13,99,000 and Rs 18,49,000. “The Redi-Go aims to redefine the entry level car segment with its unique offering that combines the roominess, best in-class ground clearance and sheer fun of a crossover with the zippy driving and fuel efficiency of an affordable compact hatchback,” added Sharda.

According to the company, the new offering from Datsun comes with all-new 0.8L three-cylinder i-SAT engine, mated to five-speed manual transmission, helping to accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in 15.9 seconds. The Redi-Go also incorporates safety package from Datsun — Pro-Safe7 with features like short braking distance, high strength body shell, and better visibility, among others.

Company officials also said that the Redi-Go showcases Yukan — a new Japanese design philosophy that stands for brave and bold.
Redi-Go is available in five attractive color options — white, silver, grey, ruby and lime.
