Sony Xperia X series smartphones launched in Nepal

Nepa Hima Trade Link, the authorised distributor of Sony products in Nepal, is set to launch three new mid- and high range smartphones from the Xperia line-up during the first week of August. The company has opened pre-booking for the phones—Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra. Customers can order them from sastodeal.com till August 5 before they hit stores, Nepa Hima Trade Link said.

The Xperia X has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. It features triluminos display, a technology that enables LCD displays to show a wider range of colours to produce rich and vivid images. The phone has a scratch-resistant glass and oleo phobic (anti-smudge) coating on the screen making it oil-resistant and anti-finger print. It is impervious to dirt, dust and grease, the company said.

The Xpria X runs on Android OS Version 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) and has a dedicated memory slot of up to 256 GB. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM and will be available in two variants, one with 32 GB internal memory and the other with 62 GB. The device has a 23 mega pixel primary camera and a 13 mega pixel secondary camera. The non-removable Li-lon 2620 mAh battery can be charged to 60 percent in 30 minutes as the phone supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 from Sony. The device has been priced at Rs. 65,000.

Likewise, the Xperia XA has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow OS and is powered by an Octa-core 2.0 Ghz processor.

The device has a dedicated memory slot for a 256 GB microSD card while the internal memory is 16 GB and runs on 2 GB RAM.

The device has three sensors—accelerometer, proximity and compass and is powered by a non-removable Li-ion 2300 mAh battery. It has been priced at Rs. 48,500. “The new phones are premium quality and are mid-range to high range with regard to price,” said Jasmine Siddhi, assistant marketing manager of Nepa Hima Trade Link. “Sony has accorded priority to research and development, and has applied the latest innovations in the smartphone arena to the new models.”

Similarly, the mid-range Xperia XA Ultra features a 6-inch display and runs on Android OS v6.0.1. The phone has a 21.5 mega pixel primary camera and a 16 mega pixel secondary camera. It costs Rs. 38,500.
