Global smartphone brand OPPO formally entered Nepal on Monday with the launching of its new product F1s. OPPO F1s, also known as ‘selfie expert’, is priced at Rs32,390.

The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel main sensor, with the battery capacity of 3075 mAh. It also features a 5.5-inch screen and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

The phone supports micro SD card of up to 128GB, contains dual nano-SIM slots and is equipped with MT 6750 Octa-core processor.

The OPPO product supports ColorOS 3.0 and Android 5.1 operating systems.

“The phone will offer Nepali consumers an outstanding photographic experience,” said Johnny Ge, chief executive officer of OPPO Nepal.

OPPO says taking group selfies with F1s is even more fun and easier, thanks to the ‘selfie panorama’ feature. “What’s more, the battery provides back up for a full day use,” the company claims, adding that the mobile set also facilitates good touch access, with lightening fast finger print recognition feature and finger print activated calling system.

Speaking at a programme organised to launch OPPO brand in Nepal, Ge said OPPO brand was introduced in Nepal, as the country’s smartphone market was expanding rapidly. “The expected 4G launch makes it a potential market to invest and grow in,” Ge said, adding that the company plans to expand its operation to Pokhara in the near future. OPPO also plans to sell camera phones across 500 retail outlets in Nepal and establish 8 OPPO experience stores in one year.

OPPO will soon be opening an after sales service centre at City Center in Kamalpokhari. The company will be offering one-to-one exchange offer for the next one month as an after sales policy.
