OnePlus 6 launched in Nepal – Refreshed Price List

OnePlus 6 has finally made its way to Nepal less than three weeks after its global launch. It is the latest in its lineup of premium flagship smartphones that offers top hardware specifications and software while still being affordable.

The official distributor for OnePlus 6 is iHub Pvt Ltd. The phone will be available in two storage options, 64GB and 256GB. Ncell customers will get 1GB promotional data pack per week for 12 weeks. The company is offering IME facilities all over the country for potential customers to buy the device.

The OnePlus 6 is available at retail outlets across Nepal costing Rs.70,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs.91,000 for the 256GB variant.

With the launch of the OnePlus 6, the company claims that it is their most competitive product to date, offering key hardware and software updates inspired by the active OnePlus community. The phone now comes with an enhanced low-light camera performance, higher resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and numerous new software features.

The OnePlus 6 features the highest resolution dual-camera system on a smartphone, reads a press release. A tailor-made 16 MP sensor is supported by a 20 MP sensor with telephoto lens to accurately determine the distance between the sensor and objects in the environment. A large f2.0 aperture allow the OnePlus 6 to take faster snaps and helps compensate for stuttering to improve image stabilisation.

The dual cameras work together in Portrait mode to create a focal separation between faces and backgrounds, while a custom software algorithm makes the subject in the phone clear and well-lit. This mimics the depth-of-field (bokeh) effect that is more commonly found on professional cameras. Another camera feature, Smart Capture, combines optical zoom with multi-frame technology to let you zoom in with greater clarity while Fast AF uses the dual-camera system to accurately calculate depth to speed up auto-focus by up to 40 percent.

For users who want more control when taking photos, the all new Pro mode unlocks powerful DSLR features such as ISO, white balance, shutter-speed, focus and exposure modification as well as on-screen histogram and RWA image file support for complete control of post-shot editing.

OnePlus 6 owners will be able to view their photos on the 6.28 inch Full Optic AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio that provides a truly immersive experience. The company has made the OnePlus 6 its thinnest flagship device ever.

The notch display offers the ability to retain the display space on either side of it for information such as date, battery statistics and more. The notch is also found on other flagship devices such as the iPhone X and Huawei P20 Pro. The notch houses critical hardware such as the front camera, receiver speaker, RGB sensor and LED indicator.

The OnePlus 6 takes advantage of the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset that provides powerful performance while drawing up to 40 percent less power. With up to 8GB of RAM, the OnePlus 6 can run a large number of apps in the background without a single second of lag. The combination of UFS 2.1 and a new two-lane ROM results in 30 percent faster storage performance in everything from installations to loading apps and games.

The top of the line internals complement Oxygen OS, OnePlus’s custom operating system that is designed to refine stock Android’s core functionalities with features and optimisations that add value to the user experience. OnePlus 6 includes ‘Reading mode’, which utilises an ambient sensor and gray-scale mapping to make reading as comfortable as reading an actual book, ‘Gaming Do Not Disturb Mode’, which allows users to play their favourite games without being disrupted by notifications or accidental hardware button presses. With App Priority, OnePlus 6 will load your most used apps more quickly to further improve performance. The phone sports Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside the retail box, customers will get the Dash Charger which is the fastest charging solution on the global market. A quick 30 minute charge will give the OnePlus 6 enough juice to last the day.

Marketing Manager of iHub Pvt Ltd Dhirendra Kushwaha said, “OnePlus is one of the foremost cellphone brands in the world. After the huge success of OnePlus phones across the world, we are excited to launch one of the most popular and fastest smartphones in Nepal.”
