Google : Android Games for Windows 10 and 11 coming in 2022

Thanks to programs like BlueStacks and the Android x86 project, running Android apps and games on Windows PC has never been a problem.

Running Android apps on Microsoft’s operating system has been a lot easier since the introduction of the Android app layer in Windows 11. Even Microsoft has joined with Amazon to launch their own Android Appstore on the Microsoft Store.

Google made a surprise announcement during the Game Awards last night, announcing that its Google Play Games app will be available on Windows PCs in 2022.

Instead of relying on Microsoft’s Android app foundation in Windows 11, Google is developing a Windows app that can run on both the new Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems.

Playing your favorite Android games on a laptop or desktop computer has never been easier thanks to Google Play Games, the company’s product director for Android and Google Play Greg Harrell said in a statement to The Verge.

Google Play games will be available on additional devices starting in 2022, including phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs. ”

The incorporation of Google Play Games into Windows 10 and Windows 11 has been kept under wraps by Google. Games will not be streamed from a cloud server, according to the company.
