To honour the 25th anniversary of the first Asus laptop carried into space, Asus has officially released the new Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition. Let’s take a closer look at the laptop’s specifications and features now.
An outer spaceship-inspired futuristic design is included in the limited-edition Asus Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition.
It features a 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and capability for touch. It has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 133% of the sRGB colour space.

This screen’s colour accuracy has been verified by Pantone as well. It has a maximum brightness of 550 nits and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
Secondary 3.5-inch OLED display on lid may display various animations, notifications and battery status as well as user customisable text.
As an added bonus, the SMC-S-016A certification ensures the laptop’s resistance to vibrations and extreme temperatures (at either a sub-zero or zero degree Celsius). MIL-STD-810H criteria for durability is also certified for this laptop.
A powerful Intel Core i9-12900H processor powers the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition. The laptop’s graphics are handled by Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.
32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD complete the formidable system. As a 14-inch laptop, it lacks a number pad, but a virtual number pad is built within the touchpad.
In addition to the two Thunderbolt 4 connections, there are also USB Type-A ports, HDMI ports, an SD card reader, and a headphone jack on the device.
Also included in the box is a USB Type-A to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet adaptor.
Starting today, pre-orders for the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED Space Edition may begin, with shipping slated to begin on April 19.
The laptop is available in “Zero-G Titanium” color and costs $1,999 in the United States.
