Firefox 100 : Websites are now automatically switched to HTTPS mode.

Firefox version 100

What you need to know:

  • Mozilla has released a new version of Firefox version 100.
  • The latest version of the browser includes a number of new features for both the mobile and desktop editions.
  • Firefox on Android to only connect to websites that use HTTPS, if this form of connection is available.

Mozilla’s privacy and security measures are becoming increasingly aggressive. Firefox on Android now has an HTTPS-only mode that will automatically encrypt any website that supports HTTPS.

New security-focused features are included in Firefox’s 100th edition, which is now accessible on the finest Android phones.

To make browsing on Android as safe as possible, Mozilla claims the new functionality will attempt to use an HTTPS connection whenever available. Firefox, on the other hand, will continue to connect to HTTP-based websites by default.

When you visit any website, you will now be automatically redirected to HTTPS mode. All of this began with the debut of Firefox’s Incognito mode last year, which favours safe web connections by default when you’re browsing in a private window.

On Android and iOS, Firefox has included a new feature that allows you to arrange your browser history.

When you’re shopping for shoes and you’ve looked at multiple models, you can locate them all in one place under your search term, Mozilla explained in a blog post.

“One way we’ve done this is by grouping history items by the original item.” The visual clutter in your history has been reduced by deleting redundant sites.

On Android, Firefox has also received a makeover. You may now customise the look of your mobile browser with the addition of browser backgrounds. This week, iOS users will be able to download browser wallpapers.
