Following the announcement of EMUI 11 and Harmony OS 2.0, Huawei gave a quick but intense presentation of the new devices. The Chinese company will launch a bunch of gadgets: FreeBuds 3 headphones with active noise canceling (they promise better audio than AirPods Pro), premium Watch GT 2 Pro watches made of titanium and ceramic, a new line of MateBook X laptops and much more.

On the Freebuds Pro, Huawei has reimagined noise cancellation in wireless headphones. FreeBuds Pro combines active and intelligent noise reduction ( collectively called “dynamic”) as its power adjusts to the environment. The company claims sound suppression of up to 40 dB on the plane and in a cafe where there is maximum loud noise . For comparison, AirPods Pro can suppress upto 38 dB.

The headphones looks similar to AirPods Pro, but the stem is made in a rectangular shape. It hides three microphones and a bone conduction sensor to improve voice transmission on calls.

Additionally, it is also equipped with dual antenna, which, in conjunction with the P40 Pro smartphone, provides a record low signal latency .

The earphone is touch-sensitive, and the user can control the volume and turn on/off the noise reduction by tapping on the exterior bud.

High-amplitude drivers with a diameter of 11 mm are responsible for the sound . The earbuds comes with 3 sizes of silicone ear cushions. Based on the user’s ear shape the smartphone software automatically detects the best size while the dynamic equalizer automatically adjusts to the type of music.

Also FreeBuds Pro can quickly switch between two devices , support for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

The battery lasts 4.5 hours with noise canceling on and 7 hours when turned off. With the charge in the storage case, the charge is enough for a total of 30 hours of playtime.
