Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 launched with 3K Display and 8-Inch Touch Display for productivity
A few of Lenovo’s most popular laptops have received upgrades at CES 2022. Intriguingly, Lenovo unveiled its third-generation ThinkBook Plus notebook today, which features an 8-inch secondary touchscreen with inking support in addition to the laptop’s 17.3-inch primary display.
With a 21:10 aspect ratio, a 3072×1440 (3K) resolution, 120Hz refresh, 400 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color, the primary 17.3-inch display features a Dolby Vision-enabled display. TÜV Rheinland has also certified it to be low in blue light. It’s not just this display that’s crammed.
Pantone and ColorKing Plus digital libraries are included in a secondary 8-inch LCD touch panel. This display also has an active pen for inking. The screen has a 800×1280 vertical resolution and is protected by a glass panel. If you’re looking for a tool that can do everything from an easel to a rocket, this is the one for you.
Lenovo has put a lot of effort into the laptop, including features like screen mirroring and a waterfall feature where the primary screen extends below the secondary screen. On the right side of the keyboard, there is a secondary display; the remainder of the keyboard and palm rests are the same size as on a 14-inch device.
The laptop is only 0.70 inches (17.9mm) thick and weighs roughly 4.4 pounds (2kg). For a device with two screens, that’s quite an accomplishment. It’s primarily built of aluminum and is painted Storm Grey. It has passed MIL-STD 810H certification to establish its long-term viability.

New 12th generation Intel Core H-series processors, up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage power this laptop. However, it has integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics with a unified memory architecture, thus there is no need for a separate graphics card (UMA). Lenovo promises that the laptop’s 69Wh battery will last all day, but we’ll have to put that to the test.
A front-facing FHD webcam and an IR camera hybrid are available for facial recognition, as are dual 2W speakers with Dolby Atmos. With the webcam shutter and fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, you can keep your information private.
It is projected that the ThinkBook Plus (Gen 3) will go on sale in May 2022 with a starting price of $1,399.
