Motorola Unveils Razr 50 Series, Setting New Standards for Foldable Smartphones
BEIJING, June 25, 2024 – Motorola, a Lenovo-owned smartphone brand, today introduced its latest generation of flip-style foldable smartphones, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. Launched in Beijing, these new models boast significant upgrades over their predecessors, solidifying Motorola’s position in the foldable phone market.
The Razr 50 Ultra features an expansive 4-inch cover display, the largest ever on a Razr phone. This allows users to interact with notifications, messages, and apps without unfolding the phone. It also sports a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, promising smooth multitasking and exceptional performance.
The Razr 50, while more affordable, doesn’t skimp on features. It boasts a full-sized cover display, a major upgrade from the previous model, and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300x chipset, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Both models feature significant improvements in camera capabilities, battery life, and overall design. They also come with Android 14 pre-installed, along with Motorola’s MyUX interface.

The Razr 50 series has been initially launched in China, with prices starting at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 42,496) for the Razr 50 and CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs 65,470) for the Razr 50 Ultra. Motorola has confirmed that the phones will be available in India soon, with other global markets expected to follow.
