Redmi Note 9 Pro Max launched in Nepali market
Redmi today raised the curtain in India to present two of the new members of its Note series 9 devices , the company unveiled the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The Redmi brand has been long known for quality handsets that offers performance, features all at an affordable price range.
The company’s latest premium offering is Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, which is based on Aura Balance Design and comes with a 6.67 inches screen with a FHD+ resolution of 2400X1080 pixels and a screen to body ratio of 84.6% at 395 ppi density. The front panel is covered by Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and also comes with anti-oil and anti-fingerprint protective coating.

Redmi has eliminated the dot notch and replaced it with a punch hole on the center of the screen to house the 32 Megapixel selfie camera on the Note 9 Pro Max.
The smartphone is protected by Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and P2i splash-proof nano coating technology to ensure the device is protected against accidental spills and splashes. Furthermore, the back panel including the camera cover is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The device has a 20:9 aspect ratio Cinematic display for immersive viewing experience and offers brightness of upto 450 nits in typical condition with Contrast ratio of 1500:1. The display also has several modes such as Standard Mode, Sunshine mode, Night mode and Color Temperature adjustment features while the user is at different lighting conditions.
The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side-panel for easy access and speedier unlocking.
The smartphone also uses a special “Z-Axis Motor” for better haptic feedback and supports over 150 actions during scrolling, SMS, typing, emails, etc.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is equipped with industry’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G built on 8 nanometer manufacturing process coupled with Adreno 618 GPU.
The octa-core Snapdragon 720G processor has 2 cores running at 2.3 GHz Kryo 465 Gold and 6 cores running at 1.8 GHz Kryo 465 Silver.
The suffix ‘G’ in the 720G denotes that the processor is optimized for the gaming class. Enhanced by Snapdragon Elite Gaming feature, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max transforms in-game experience with smooth interactions, superior performance, blazing-fast response, incredible audio and cinema-quality graphics.
Redmi also stated during the presentation that the Snapdragon 720G processor on this smartphone beats all competing processors from rival brands to give it’s users maximum performance at a pro speed.
In the performance benchmark comparison presented by Redmi, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max beats Oppo Reno 3 Pro, Vivo V17 Pro and Samsung A71 by scoring 2,80,041 points.
The device is available in three options of RAM and storage configuration — 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and finally the highest 8GB RAM with 128 GB storage. The RAM type is LPDDR4X and the storage type is UFS 2.1.
The smartphone has a dedicated 2+1 SIM card slot which can take two nano SIM cards and a micro-SD card to expand the storage further up to 512 GB.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a huge 5020 mAh battery that is backed by a 33W Fast Charger included in-box. According to Redmi, the device can be charged from 0-50% in under 30 minutes and is capable of 11 hours of playtime while on PUBG mobile game on full charge.
The phone comes with quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 primary sensor from Samsung .
The quad camera setup of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle 119° field-of-view (FoV) lens, 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also support for RAW photography. The phone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps and 1080P recording at 30fps and 60fps. Furthermore, the device also supports slow motion recording of 1080p at 120fps.
The camera also includes 64MP Image Processing to bring out finer details in image by combining 8 frames(MFNR) into 1 high quality JPG image using the on-board 6GB RAM.
The company has retained the 3.5 mm headphone jack along with IR Blaster for controlling home appliances. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted sensor and has bottom-firing speakers as well as dual microphones with noise cancellation support.
For connectivity, the device includes dual SIM VoLTE HD calling, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G Wi-Fi / 5G Wi-Fi, 2×2 WiFi MIMO , Wi-Fi Direct / Wi-Fi Display , Bluetooth 5.0 and VoWiFi.
The device supports the usual GPS/ A-GPS / Galileo/ GLONASS / BeiDou and has additionally included NAvIC positioning system by partnering with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will be available in three official colors: Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black.
The device runs on Android 10 operating system with MIUI 11 on top.
