Xiaomi announced without much fanfare, the new RedmiBook Air 13 on Friday (Aug 14). The notebook will arrive in China this month with a 10th generation Intel processor , up to 16 GB of RAM, a 13.3-inch screen, a slimmer design and a lighter metal body at a price starting at 4,899 yuan.
Like the MacBook Air, Xiaomi’s notebook has a thin and light body, only 12.99 mm thick and weighs 1.05 kg. The screen measures 13.3 inches, like the Apple computer , and has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10, a standard brightness of 300 nits and 100% coverage of the sRGB color profiles.
Equipped with the Intel Core i5-10210Y processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.5 GHz and 512 GB SSD , the RedmiBook Air 13 is available in two editions, with 8 GB or 16 GB RAM. The battery is 41 Wh, capable of delivering eight hours of usage, according to the manufacturer, and is comes with a 65-watt USB-C charger, included in the box.
The laptop is slim and light but with a rather thick bottom bezel. Like the Mi NoteBook, the RedmiBook Air 13 also doesn’t have a webcam. The brand has used all copper cooling for better heat dissipation and dual exhausts for better airflow.
The Redmibook 13 features two USB-C ports, dedicated headphone jack (3.5 mm), Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The laptop comes with Windows 10 pre-installed, and uses Intel’s integrated graphics chipset for graphics.
RedmiBook Air 13 Price in Nepal
RedmiBook Air 13 starts at CNY 4,699 ( Rs 80,890 approx) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Its 16GB+512GB SSD configuration carries a price tag of CNY 5,199 ( Rs 89,500 approx). There’s only one silver colour for the RedmiBook Air 13. The laptop will be available first in China. There’s no word on its global availability yet.
