Samsung launches 32-inch 4K 144Hz Dragon Knight G7 gaming monitor in China

Samsung has released a new gaming monitor in China that is only available there for the time being.

The Dragon Knight G7 gaming monitor is very similar to the Odyssey series that the firm sells in other regions.
In other regions, the 32-inch Samsung Odyssey version of the Dragon Knight G7 may soon make its appearance. Examine its capabilities and specifications with me.

Technical Specifications of Samsung Dragon Knight G7

As can be seen in the image below, the Dragon Knight G7 makes use of a 32-inch IPS display that provides output at UHD/4K. (3,840 x 2,160).

According to Samsung, the panel is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, has a 1 ms reaction time (GtG), a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a minimum peak brightness of 400 nits, all of which contribute to its 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Dragon Knight G7 is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC, two technologies that help to reduce image tearing when using AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, respectively.

Similarly to the Tizen OS, an adjustable stand, and HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 for video output, the Dragon Knight G7 is also available.

Price and Availability

Samsung’s Dragon Knight G7 is priced at $717 (or CNY 4,999) on JD.com in China.

There has been no word on a worldwide release, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Dragon Knight G7 under the Odyssey banner at the CES 2023 expo next month.
