US dollar strengthens even more, trading now at above Rs 132

US Dollar

The gradual increase in the value of the US dollar has a negative effect on the Nepali currency, making it less valuable.

The current foreign exchange rate published by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) indicates that one US dollar can be purchased at a rate of Rs 132.42 and sold at a rate of Rs 132.02 today.

Economists predict that a stronger dollar will have a negative impact on the country’s economy.

While an increase in the value of the dollar will boost remittances, it will have a negative effect on the economy as a whole.

Some of the most serious outcomes of this are inflation, increased outlays for the hiring of foreign consultants, and a heavier load on the shoulders of those already responsible for servicing foreign debt and its interest.

The rising value of the US dollar affects the Indian currency, and this has repercussions for the Nepali rupee.
