On March 1, Vivo introduced its V27 series of smartphones to the Indian market. Now, the Chinese company has expanded its V-series portfolio with the introduction of the Vivo V27e model in Malaysia.

Glory Black and Lavender Purple are the two color options that are available for the company’s new offering in the mid-range price point. The display on the handset is an AMOLED panel measuring 6.62 inches and supporting capacitive multitouch in addition to having a refresh rate of 120 hertz.

The battery of the phone has a capacity of 4,600mAh and is powered by a system-on-a-chip manufactured by MediaTek.

Vivo V27e Specs and Features

The recently released Vivo V27e has dual SIM card capability and runs Android’s Funtouch OS 13.

With a capacitive multi-touch display and a 120Hz refresh rate, the 6.62-inch AMOLED screen is a standout feature. The Full High Definition Plus screen has a resolution of 2,400 by 1,080 pixels. The phone’s processor is a MediaTek Helio G99 CPU, and it has 8GB of RAM.

The primary camera on the rear of the Vivo V27e has 64 megapixels with optical image stabilization (OIS), and there are two secondary 2.1 megapixel sensors for bokeh and macro photography.

The front-facing camera is 32 megapixels, making it ideal for taking selfies and making video calls. Also, it has a triple-rear flash of a single color temperature.

The phone comes with up to 256GB of storage space and a microSD card slot for further expansion. Options for wireless connectivity include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, GPS, USB On-The-Go (OTG), and near-field communication (NFC). A 4,600 mAh battery inside allows for rapid recharging at 66W.

Vivo V27e Pricing and Availability

The starting price for the lone configuration of the Vivo V27e with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage is RM 1,299 (about USD 290). The device can be purchased in either Glory Black or Lavender Purple.

In Malaysia, you may buy the phone directly from Vivo’s online store. The company has been silent about when or if smartphones will be released in India.
