Vivo’s X80 and X80 Pro smartphones were officially unveiled on Monday in China. One of the two unique variants of the Vivo X80 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, while the other is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
A periscope-shaped lens with 5x optical zoom is included in the Pro model of the new Vivo phones. A 2K E5 LTPO AMOLED screen is also available on the Vivo X80 Pro. There’s an 80W rapid charge on both the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro. Wireless charging is also included in the Pro version, which has a maximum output of 50W.
Price of Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro
The base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the Vivo X80 costs CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 69,200). An 8GB + 256GB model is available for CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 74,815), while a 12GB + 256G model is available for CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs. 82,300) and a highest 12GB + 512G model is available for CNY 4,899 (roughly Rs. 91,650).
Similarly, the Vivo X80 Pro model costs starts at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 102,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model.
It costs CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 112,250) for the 12GB + 256GB model and CNY 6,699 (about Rs. 125,300) for the phone’s 12GB + 256GB model. The high-end model with 12GB + 512GB options costs CNY 6,699 (roughly Rs. 125,300) .
In contrast, the Vivo X80 Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition starts at CNY 5999 (roughly Rs. 112,250) for the 12GB + 256GB version and rises to CNY 6,699 (about Rs. 125,350) for the 12GB + 512GB model.
There are three color options for the Vivo X80 series: Black, Cyan and Orange. Vivo X80 Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition will be available for purchase in China starting on April 29, while the X80 and X80 Pro are available now. Pre-orders for all three versions are presently open in Chinese market.
The Vivo X80 series’ global launch date and other specifics are still under wraps.

Powered by Android 12 with OriginOS Ocean on top, the Vivo X80 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, which is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM on the internal storage.
In addition to the 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor, there is an f/1.75 lens that offers optical image stabilization in the triple rear camera arrangement (OIS).
A 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 12-megapixel portrait camera round out the back camera arrangement. The f/2.0 lens on the ultra-wide camera is paired with an f/1.98 lens on the portrait sensor.
The Vivo X80 has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.45 lens for taking selfies and video chats.
The Vivo X80 has a 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage option. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster, NFC, and a USB Type-C connection are just some of the connectivity choices available.
Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The phone also incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Powered by an 80W Flash Charge battery, the Vivo X80 features a 4,500mAh capacity. The phone’s dimensions and weight are 164.95″ x 75.23″ x 8.78″ and 206 grams respectively.

Android 12-based OriginOS powers the dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo X80 Pro which features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 versions of the SoC are found in the phone. In comparison to the Dimensity model offered in a single option of 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, the Snapdragon model features a choice of 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM options.
The Vivo X80 Pro has a 50-megapixel primary Samsung ISOCELL GNV sensor, as well as a 48-megapixel ultra-wide Sony IMX598 sensor and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 sensor with a portrait lens. Periscope-shaped ultratelephoto f/3.4 lens is also available on top of an 8-megapixel camera.
