Yamaha launches new Fascino 125 with hybrid engine technology

Yamaha has unveiled the new Fascino 125 in the Indian market. The Fascino 125 drum brake variant is priced at INR 70,000 and the disc brake variant is priced at INR 76,530. This price is based on ex-showroom Delhi. This scooter is made public with hybrid engine technology.

The Fasino 125 has new split LED headlights, LED tail lights and LED daytime running lights. The tail light design of the scooter is more slim than before. The ‘Fascino 3D’ logo is affixed to the side panels on both sides of the scooter. The new Fascino is now available in 9 different colors.

The company has installed metal front apron and mudguard to strengthen the scooter. In addition, the scooter has 110 mm wide rear tires that provide more road grip than before. The new Fascino disc and drum are available in two variants.

Speaking of new features, the scooter also has a ‘Yamaha Connect’ connectivity feature with a new full digital instrument cluster. With the help of this feature, the scooter can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. The scooter has a side stand engine cutoff switch. Due to which the scooter will not start if the stand is open.

Yamaha has made a lot of changes to the Fascino engine. The new scooter is powered by a blue core hybrid engine. Due to which power is also obtained from the battery attached to the scooter. The company claims that this engine will generate more power based on the need. The hybrid engine generates more power with the help of batteries when traveling on bad roads or uphill.

The Yamaha Fascino is powered by a 125cc by a BS VI compliant single cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected hybrid blue core engine. This engine generates 8.2 bhp of power and 10.3 Nm of torque. The new scooter also uses smart motor generator technology. Due to this technology the scooter starts silently. This feature will be available on new upcoming motorcycles and scooters.

The new Yamaha Fascino has 21 liters of under seat storage space. It can easily hold a large size helmet. USB charging facility is also provided under the seat. However, no external fuel cap is provided in the scooter.

The new Fascino will compete with Suzuki Access 125, TVS Entourage 125 and Honda Activa 125.
