In March ZTE launched the ZTE Axon 11 5G , its premium mid-range mobile phone with 5G connectivity equipped with Snapdragon 765. The company has now launched a more affordable variant ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G, a cheaper model featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset with support for 5G .
The ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G is, as its name suggests, a special edition. Technically it is a toned down version of Axon 11 5G with some of its specs, though it gains an on-screen hole-punch camera rather than a usual drop-shaped notch, in addition to other changes.
We have reached a point in time where the name of a mobile phone needs five words to describe itself. The ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G shares the general design line with the standard model Axon 11 5G, the display has been downgraded from AMOLED to IPS LCD with a flat panel instead of curved edges. The devices features a 6.53 inches Full HD + display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
The ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G is obviously a 5G mobile that supports with SA and NSA in dual modes. Now, powered with a different processor than the standard model, instead of Snapdragon 765G the company has opted for the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G chipset . The device comes with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDRX4 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, depending on versions.
As for the battery, the ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G mounts a battery with a capacity of 4,000 mAh and support for 18W fast charge. With an LCD screen, the fingerprint reader is moved to the rear, while in the ZTE Axon 11 5G it was under the screen.
The camera module of the ZTE Azon 11 SE 5G features the same design, it has a quad camera setup featuring a 48 megapixels primary shooter downgraded from 64 megapixels.
It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a fourth 2-megapixel sensor for portrait mode. At the front, the ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G mounts a 16-megapixel camera in a hole-punch display.
For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0 , A-GPS and USB Type-C port.
The device runs on Android 10 with MiFlavor UI on top. The ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G is available in two color options – Aurora Glamour, Aurora Glacier.
