Oppo, a popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, just released a new, affordable 5G model in China. It’s called the Oppo A1x.
The Oppo A1x is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor and comes with a 90Hz refresh rate screen and a 5000mAh battery.
Black and blue color options for the Oppo A1x are now available. But, if the phone is to compete with companies like Redmi and Realme, its price point does not seem to be as strong by the features.
Oppo A1x : Specifications and Features
The Oppo A1x 5G has a 6.56-inch HD+ (1612 x 720) IPS LCD screen that can refresh at 90 frames per second and can reach a maximum brightness of 600 nits.
The phone supports the DCI-P3 color gamut and boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 89.8 percent thanks to its thin side profile and top bezels and relatively large chin.
The Oppo A1x 5G is powered by a low-end MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Chipset and ships with Android 12 and the ColorOS 12 skin.
The phone has a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel portrait lens on the back, and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Two circular slots, one on top and one on the left side of the back panel, house the cameras and the LED flash.
The front-facing camera sits in a waterdrop notch that runs down the middle of the screen.
The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery which supports fast charging.

The base model of the Oppo A1x comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. It costs CNY 1,399. The company has also unveiled an 8GB + 128GB variant which is priced at CNY 1599.
