Xiaomi is possibly the manufacturer that has the most subsidiaries, managing to mark its strong presence in a large number of segments. One of these brands is Haylou, established as an independent brand a few years ago and focused mostly on audio products.

Now, the company has recently decided to venture into the smartwatch segment with the launch of the Xiaomi Solar Smartwatch. This smartwatch arrives at an extremely attractive price(around $25)and offers all the basic features you may need. However, its name turns out to be very misleading, since it has no functionality related to solar charging.

With regard to its design this smartwatch is very simple, with a circular shape and very clean metal construction and silicone bracelet. With a 1.28″ TFT display and 240×240 resolution, you shouldn’t have any major problems to easily see all the content displayed.

As expected, the Xiaomi Solar Smartwatch offers support for monitoring various physical activities, including running, hiking, cycling, football, etc. Although it doesn’t arrive with built-in GPS, but you’ll be able to rely on a heart rate sensor and sensor to count steps.

Equipped with a 340mAh battery, you the device guarantees a battery life of up to 30 days. However, if you want to turn on heart rate control constantly, this value may be halved to 15 days. Although 3 days of autonomy are not fantastic, it turns out to be acceptable considering the price of the Xiaomi Solar Smartwatch.

Finally, it arrives with IP68 resistance certification, meaning it ensures protection against water and dust. So you won’t have to worry every time you go to shower or swim. However, it is still not recommended to use it in saltwater.
