Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal, launched Hyundai’s premium sports utility vehicle — the Creta — for the Nepali market on Thursday.Speaking on the launch, Hyundai officials said that Creta offers a combination of power and style with its robust body structure, superior engine performance and confident ride and handling.
Moreover, officials of the company said that Creta is set to make a strong statement in the growing SUV segment and strengthen Hyundai’s position in the Nepali SUV market.
“We are delighted to launch the perfectly engineered and powerful SUV for the new generation customers. Creta is a revolutionary product and we are confident that the new SUV will strengthen Hyundai’s position in Nepal and will lead a new trend in the SUV segment fulfilling customers’ aspiration of owning a perfect SUV,” Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of Laxmi Group said.
Targeting the SUV segment buyers who value style, space, economy and technological features, Creta is designed with strong ‘Hive Structure’ body shell denoting high structural strength stability and sturdiness. Similarly, the ring shaped frames applied at B-Pillar, C-Pillar and engine bay helps to achieve high body rigidity, improved durability and crash performance, said the company in a press statement.
Creta comes with Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design following a modern premium look, based on Hyundai Motor’s evolved design philosophy.
Its exterior features slat chrome radiator grille making a bold design statement while the smoothly creased hood, lines projector headlamps integrated with LED positioning lamps, vertical fog lamps, sporty stylish skid plate and dual tone front bumper enhance the vehicle’s stylish and distinctive SUV character.
Officials said that the new SUV comes in three variants—1. 4 U2 CRDi diesel engine, 1.6 U2 CRDi VGT (MT/AT) diesel engine and 1.6 Gamma dual VTVT petrol engine with six-speed manual transmission.
Other features of Creta includes diamond cut 17-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps, LED positioning lamps, roof rails and skid plates, door scuff plates, triple slat chrome radiator grille, premium leather seats, fully automatic temperature control with cluster ionizer, electric folding, rear AC vents, smart key with push button start, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, rear seat centre armrest with cup-holders, 1 GB internal memory, among others.
With immense focus on safety, Creta features six airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS), reverse parking camera with steering adaptive guidelines and sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management system, hill start assist control, front fog lamps, and projector headlamps.
