Nokia 2720 Flip reborn with 4G support, Voice Assistant and Social Apps
At the IFA 2019 exhibition in Berlin, HMD Global introduced not only a pair of mid-range smartphones Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 , as well as a rugged feature phone Nokia 800 Tough . Another device was the re-release of the legendary clam-shell Nokia 2720 Flip phone.
Like the original Nokia 2720 presented back in 2009, the phone comes with an external screen for notifications. HMD Global has paid special attention to the emerging functions of artificial intelligence, 4G support and a capacious battery. WhatsApp and Facebook applications are installed on the phone, there is a dedicated Google Assistant button for managing using voice. However, this button can be reassigned to an emergency call.
The phone received an internal screen with a diagonal of 2.8 inches and a resolution of 240×320 pixels, an external 1.3-inch display of 240×240 pixels, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, Qualcomm 205 SoC, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of flash memory, a battery capacity of 1,500 mAh.
It is possible to use microSD cards up to 32 GB and two SIM-cards. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g / n), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / AGPS and GLONASS are supported.
The Nokia 2720 Flip runs on KaiOS operating system and the phone measures 104.8 x 54.5 x 18.7 mm when folded and 192.7 x 54.5 x 11.6 mm when unfolded.
Nokia 2720 Flip will be available in mid-September in black at a price of around $99 and the release is expected in October in various global markets.
