Oppo Reno Ace with 65W SuperVOOC, Snapdragon 855+ Launched
Oppo today launched its flagship smartphone Oppo Reno Ace which comes at unbelievable price with flagship hardware specification.
Featuring flagship hardware and the fastest charging solution on the market so far, the Oppo Reno Ace also offers a high refresh rate display with enhanced touch response.
Oppo Reno Ace runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 on top and features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 135Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel, which comes with a waterdrop-style notch, also has 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and supports HDR10+ content format. Further, the handset comes preloaded with features such as Frame Boost 2.0 and Touch Boost 2.0 to deliver newer user experiences.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno Ace has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with 8GB and 12GB RAM options. The smartphone also has up to 256GB of onboard storage.
The Reno Ace comes with quad camera setup on the rear featuring a 48MP (IMX586, f/1.7) primary camera. The three remaining sensors are of 8 MP (wide-angle) , 2mp (black and white) and 13mp (f/2.4, telephoto lens). The device can also record video with maximum resolution of 4K, 60 FPS. It also comes with Ultra Dark mode, which is Oppo’s take on the night mode feature.
The other highlight of the Reno Ace is its support for 65W super-fast charging technology, which Oppo calls SuperVOOC 2.0. According to Oppo, 65W fast charging allows the 4,000mAh battery of the Reno Ace to be charged from 0-100% in just 30 minutes. To make things even better, the fast charger bundled with the Reno Ace also supports the USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) and Qualcomm Quick Charge standards.
Featuring a gradient back design, the Oppo Reno Ace has a metal frame running around the sides. It also offers 4D gaming support and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Other features of the Reno Ace include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac with 2×2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
Oppo Reno Ace price and availability
The Oppo Reno Ace is a flagship smartphone and offers blazing fast specs. The price of the smartphone further suggests Oppo’s aggressive strategies – the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 3,199 (approx. NRs 51,120), while the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 3,799 (approx. NRs 60,705).
The Oppo Reno Ace pre-orders are live in China from today, with the sale scheduled to start from 17 October.
Oppo Reno Ace Limited Edition “Gundam” is a true masterpiece
In addition to the normal model, Oppor also announced the arrival of a limited edition “Gundam”, created to celebrate the 40 years of the popular Japanese animated series.
Having white as the main color, the accents in blue and red make this limited edition extremely elegant. Forgetting the reference to the anime “Gundam”, it almost looks like a re-creation of the legendary R2-D2 of the Star Wars saga.
No prices have been revealed for this limited edition, but will most likely be released exclusively in East Asian markets.
