But the new Honor Magic V is set to hit stores in the first quarter of 2023, and hopefully in other global market sometime later.
Together with the Honor 80 series, Honor also unveiled its second-generation foldable. That latter topic is discussed in detail here. And now, let’s examine the Honor Magic Vs, which has a new hinge and improved hardware.
Honor Magic Vs Specifications
All foldable gadgets need hinges so they can open and close. A product’s success or failure depends on them. Since foldables became popular, manufacturers have been working to perfect the technology.
A light, gearless hinge is included with the recently introduced Honor Magic Vs. Single-piece casting was used to create this hinge.
As a result, the hinge no longer requires as many as the previous 92 structural components.
With fewer parts, the product is nevertheless as sturdy and long-lasting as before.
The aerospace-grade materials touted by the hinge have a rated life of over 400,000 folds, which translates to 100 folds every day for more than a decade.
The thin and light foldable weighs about 261g and has a thickness of roughly 12.9mm. Glass and faux leather are both available as finishes.
