Huawei MatePad 10.8 launched with Kirin 990, Wi-Fi 6, 2K screen and more
Huawei has just introduced its newest high-performance tablet to the local market in China, offering support for the latest Wi-Fi connectivity, a screen with thicker edges to accommodate the front camera and a physical fingerprint reader and more.
The new MatePad 10.8 arrives, as you can imagine , with a 10.8 inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, slightly higher than the 16: 9 standard of older models. Its IPS LCD technology panel has a 2K resolution, 2560 x 1600 pixels, and a density of 280 ppi.
Equipped with a high-performance Kirin 990 chipset designed by the manufacturer itself, Huawei also implements 6 GB of RAM and options with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage.
As stated at the beginning, MatePad 10.8 has support for the new Wi-Fi 6+ networks, offering a transmission speed of up to 2400 Mbps, but the model is not equipped with 5G connectivity, and a single variant with 4G LTE is available.
The tablet still offers an EMUI 10.1 interface on top of Android 10, but no Google services here as expected. Huawei also implements a 7,500 mAh battery and guarantees up to 11 hours of video playback, with support for fast charging of 22.5W. The tablet supports the M Pen.

Available in four variants, MatePad 10.8 will be sold twice through flash-sale in China: one today, July 30th, and another on August 13th. The prices of the variants are listed below:

- MatePad 10.8 – 6 GB + 128 GB with Wi-Fi: 2,799 yuan (Rs 47,980)
- MatePad 10.8 – 6 GB + 128 GB with 4G : 3,199 yuan (Rs 54,840 )
- MatePad 10.8 – 6 GB + 256 GB with Wi-Fi: 3,599 yuan (Rs 61,700 )
