The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition has been added to the Chinese tech giant’s smartphone lineup. The special edition model sports a fresh color and a unique emblem carved on the back panel. Until further notice, there is no word about the release of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition in other markets. It’s still unclear when the Oppo Reno 7 series will be available outside of China.

There are no new features in this year’s New Year’s edition of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition because this is only a re-design. An AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate is found on the phone’s 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. Up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM may be found in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, while up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage can be found in the device.
An 8-megapixel wide angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens are included in Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition’s triple rear camera configuration. CNY 2,699 gets you 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while CNY 2,999 gets you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while CNY 3,299 gets you 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is available in Velvet Red and features a tiger emblem engraved into the back of the camera module.
Oppo said in a statement on Weibo that the Tiger logo was inscribed on the rear panel in honor of China’s Year of the Tiger in 2022.
