OPPO has announced the launch of a new mid-range smartphone dubbed OPPO Reno Z.

Oppo’s continuing to further expand its Reno series with the Reno Z being the company’s latest announcement. Although the design of the rear panel is similar to the other devices in the Reno range, there are differences.

Unlike all the other variant of the Reno we’ve seen so far, the Reno Z is more of a budget version of the phone and comes with a notched display on the front.

On the design front, the Reno Z features a gradient color body with curved edges. The long vertical strip on the rear includes the logo, tagline and an LED flash. The AMOLED 6.4-inch screen with Full HD + resolution (2340 × 1080 pixels) and a ratio of 19.5: 9 is the highlight.

The Oppo Reno Z is powered by the Mediatek Helio P90 chipset with 6GB RAM and 256 GB storage. There is also an 8GB RAM version, which cuts the storage in half – 128GB. The phone runs Oppo’s custom ColorOS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie.. That is, looking at the main features is undoubtedly a very well balanced smartphone.

On the back we have a dual camera configuration consisting of a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The 32-megapixel selfie-camera is housed on the water drop notch on the front display.

This smartphone bets on the Android 9.0 Pie with the interface ColorOS 6.0 on top. The Reno Z features a 4035mAh battery with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 charging. Other extras include NFC and Dolby Atmos support for an enhanced listening experience.. As seen on the other Reno smartphones, the Reno Z also comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Oppo Reno Z is available in Night Black, Star Purple, Bead White and Coral Orange colors with a price of CNY 2,499 ($362/€325). Official sales are scheduled to begin on June 6 in China.

Looking at the price we have undoubtedly an equipment that presents an excellent value for money.
