Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro and Mi Note 10 launched with 108 MP camera
After several weeks of rumors and information leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 was finally officially unveiled. As expected, this is a high-end smartphone that will surprise everyone not only by its performance, but also by its imaging capabilities.
Identical to the Mi CC9 Pro launched in China just a day ago, the Mi Note 10 is specifically meant for the European market. The Mi Note 10 has been launched in two versions of basic and Pro with different storage capacity and a slight difference in camera specs. Apart from that both devices are identical in other aspects.
With a total of five rear cameras, the Mi Note 10 promises high quality photos and versatility never before seen on a smartphone. Recently, Mi CC9 Pro already managed to win the first place in the DxOMark ranking.
The key highlights of the Mi Note 10 series include its waterdrop-shaped notch OLED display, 108 MP rear camera, curved edges, and a large sized battery.
Mi Note 10 Pro/Mi Note 10 :A high-end smartphone disguised with a mid-range processor
Xiaomi has presented Mi Note 10 as a true high-end smarpthone. However, it comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, which is positioned in the mid-range segment.
Both the device feature a 6.47-inch curved full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED display with a pixel density of 398ppi, peak brightness of 600 nits, TUV Rheinland certification, and a contrast ratio of 400000:1.
The back is made up of 3D curved glass and has rounded corners and tapered edges. The phones are powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC , paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It offers up to 256GB of internal storage, without support for further storage expansion.
In the photographic segment, the phones pack a 108-megapixel main camera with an f/1.69 aperture and four-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). It is aided by a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 117-degree field of view, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a secondary 5-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture that is capable of clicking images with a minimum subject distance of 1.5cm.
Zooming capabilities include up to 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom. Rear camera features also include 4K video capture at 30fps, slo-mo HD video capture at up to 960fps, portrait blur adjustment, and a dedicated night mode 2.0. On the front is a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Front camera features include AI Beauty, AI Portrait, Palm Shutter, and more.
Apart from the cameras, the battery was also a highlight, being the largest ever used by the brand.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 arrives with a generous 5,260mAh battery with support for fast charging at 30W. It is also important to note that the brand includes a 30W charger in the box, which is not always the case with many smartphones.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro run on MIUI 11 based on the latest Android 10.
As we mentioned, the Mi Note 10 is the global variant of the Mi CC9 Pro launched in China yesterday, while the Mi Note 10 Pro can be thought to be the global counterpart of the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition that was launched alongside.
Five cameras that promise to capture magical moments
Without a doubt, the Mi Note 10 penta camera was the “star of the show”. In addition to promising far above average photo quality, it promises versatility never before seen on a smartphone.
The 108MP main sensor is a major selling point, which comes with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a 4-in-1 SuperPixel, which supports the new multi-frame RAW algorithm . This algorithm allows one to capture photos in great detail even in low light conditions.
The Mi Note 10 Pro sports an 8P lens, while the Mi Note 10 sports a 7P lens.
