Hyundai Motor India today unveiled it’s N Line Hyundai i20 in the Indian market. The N Line i20 is the brand’s first model to be launched in India which brings several aesthetic changes in the design and look of the vehicle with motorsport inspired design.
The N Line nomenclature stands for Namyang, Hyundai’s global R&D centre and tried and tested at Nurburgring race circuit.
The company will introduce a new N Line model in 2021 and subsequently launch additional N Line models for Indian customers over the next few years.
To amplify sportiness and fun driving experiences, N Line cars will feature motorsports inspired styling cues creating a playful appeal. Hyundai N Line draws strong synergies from motorsports that has led to the creation of visually differentiated styling to perfectly compliment the individualistic aspirations of customers.

Targeting millennials, the dynamic and exhilarating style of i20 N Line showcases it is Motorsport inspired DNA, and its built for the athletic, individualistic and outgoing driving enthusiasts, the company said.
The exteriors of the hot hatch feature reworked bumpers and a blacked-out cascading grille with N Line badging. The chequered flag theme on the grille is quite visible.
When viewed from the side, the 16-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels grab your attention. It also gets sporty red-coloured brake calipers. At the rear is a sporty spoiler and a twin-tip muffler. It gets a red stripe towards the bottom of the car, all around.
On the inside, the i20 N Line will continue to come loaded with a ton of features.
In terms of features, the car gets an electric sunroof, digital cluster with MID, wireless phone charging with cooling, air purifier, cooled glovebox and voice-activated Blue Link. The party piece literally however is this 10.25-inch infotainment system that gets multiple connectivity options and is linked to a superb seven-speaker Bose system. On the safety front, you get six airbags, vehicle stability management, ESC and hill assist control.
At the heart of the i20 N Line is a 1.0-litre Turbo GDi Petrol engine that is offered with a 7-Speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) or a 6-Speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT). The powertrains have been configured to deliver an exceptionally sporty and fun driving experience to set your pulse racing and draws inspiration from Motorsport DNA.
The enthralling 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol engine is tuned to produce 88.3 kW (120 PS) / 6000 r/min of maximum power and 172 Nm (17.5 kgm) / 1500 – 4000 r/min of maximum torque. With this configuration, i20 N Line is capable of achieving a superlative 0 – 100 Kmph acceleration time of 9.9 seconds (Based on internal testing).
Hyundai also claims that the exhaust note is sportier and this improves the driving experience. The steering and the suspension have been retuned for sportier handling and this has been done with inputs from Hyundai’s Motorsport team. The braking is also better with disc brakes at all four ends.
i20 N Line will be available in 4 monotone colours and 2 dual-tone options.
Hyundai i20 N Line Price in Nepal
Hyundai currently sells N Line in various regions like Europe, South Korea, the US and Russia, among others.
The new Hyundai i20 N Line will go on sale in the month of September.
Hyundai has set the price of various variants of the Hyundai i20 N Line from INR 984,000. The price of the top variant goes up to INR 1.17 million.
