In India, Mercedes-Benz has released the EQS 580 4Matic, the first locally assembled Mercedes-Benz EV with 857Km of range.

With an ARAI-certified range of 857km, the EQS 580 4Matic has the highest range of any EV currently on sale in India, while the locally built variant sits below the recently released Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4Matic+ by 90 lakh.

The luxury EV sedan’s styling is more subdued than the AMG EQS 53’s. The modified front bumper design includes a blanked-out grille with multiple lit three-pointed stars and smaller five-spoked wheels on 20-inchers.

The EQS 580 is the most aerodynamic production car in the world thanks to its cab-forward, coupe-style design, which results in a drag coefficient of 0.20Cd.

The interior of this EV is equipped with a 56-inch “Hyperscreen,” 3D maps, a heads-up display, a massaging function for the front seats, a Burmester 3D sound system, air filtration, and an MBUX tablet similar to the one found in the S-Class.

The nine airbags, lane-keeping and changing assistance, and emergency brake system are only some of the safety features.

With its two electric motors, the EQS 580’s 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack can provide a maximum of 523 horsepower and 855 Newton-meters (Nm).

The EQS 580 4Matic can reach its maximum legal speed of 210 kph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 in 4.3 seconds.

The battery pack may be charged with a 22W AC wall box charger, 11kW AC charger, or 200kW of DC rapid charging.
