The Nubia Red Magic 5S is the newest gaming phone from the Chinese brand. Announced this Wednesday , the smartphone has a 144 Hz screen and an advanced technical sheet with Snapdragon 865 processor and a 55-watt fast recharge battery. Phone sales are expected to begin in September 2020.
The screen is one of the main highlights of the launch of Nubia Red Magic 5S. At 6.65 inches, the AMOLED display has Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and refresh and touch sampling rates of 144 Hz and 240 Hz, respectively. In addition, the fingerprint reader is located under the display panel.
The new gamer smartphone is available in two color options: Pulse (blue and red) and Sonic Silver (silver).
The device is equipped with triple camera setup, with a main camera of 64 megapixels (f / 2). The trio is complete with the 8 MP sensor (ultrawide, f / 2) and the other 2 MP (macro, f / 2.4). For selfies and video calls, the front camera has 8 megapixels.
The advanced technical sheet features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, with eight cores up to 2.84 GHz and 5G support . In addition, the smartphone has two editions, with RAM and storage of 8 GB + 128 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB. The battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and supports charging with power up to 55 watts.
The phone comes out of the box with Red Magic OS 3.5 ui, based on Android 10, and will receive an update to Android 11 in the future. The smartphone also has a USB-C port, dedicated input for headphones (3.5 mm), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and its own accessories, such as the Red Magic Ice Dock, to cool the phone while playing.
