Today, Nubia hosted an online launch event at which a number of new products were presented, where the highlight of the show was stolen by Nubia Red Magic 5S. The company also launched the Nubia Watch and Nubia Red Magic TWS Gaming Earbuds alongside the flagship gaming smartphone.

The Nubia Watch has a design similar to the Nubia Alpha, presented in March 2019 at MWC. The device features a highly curved AMOLED-screen with a diagonal of 4.01 inches.

It is worth noting that a few years ago, screens of 4.01 inch diagonal were actively used in standard smartphones albeit with a different aspect ratio.

The case is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy as well as 316L stainless steel, while the side uses biomedical grade ceramic. This made the watch very lightweight.

The standard version has a soft and pleasant touch silicone strap, while straps with a silky surface, made of Italian calfskin are also available.

Nubia Watch is equipped with e-Sim support for an embedded card (in China, the feature works with China Mobile and China Unicom operators), as well as mobile payments.

The device has standard functions for monitoring exercise, sleep quality and duration, and can monitor the heart rate around the clock. There is also a weather forecast, smartphone search function, compass, notification support and much more.

Nubia Watch understands various gestures, for example, when the user lifts his hand to look at the watch, it automatically turns on. The users are offered all kinds of themes and dials.

The device is priced at ¥1799 or $ 257 and will begin sales on August 5. The Nubia Watch is available in three colours: Knight Black, Armour Green, and Flame Red.
