As planned, Realme today held the launch event for it’s new smartphones for the mid-range segment, Realme 6 Pro and Realme 6 in India.
The Realme 6 series comes with several improvements over its predecessor Realme 5 series smartphones. One of the major highlights include the punch hole camera with dual lens on the Pro variant and a single lens on the basic Realme 6. Other common features on both devices include 90 Hz display screen, 64 MP rear camera, 4300 mAh battery and a fingerprint reader on the side panel.

Realme has presented two smartphones in this 6 series and the premium offering from the company is the Realme 6 Pro. The Pro varaint has a larger 6.6 inch display compared to the 6.5 inch on the basic Realme 6.
For selfies, the Realme 6 Pro has dual lens with 16 MP and 8 MP wide angle sensor.
The Realme 6 Pro has a 6.6 inch screen in 1080p (20: 9 format) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz . Realme has not specified the type of screen used, but it is expected to be a LCD screen and not an OLED. Its fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button at the side panel and responds in 0.38 seconds.
The Realme 6 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to be launched with the Snapdragon 720G chipset. The processor is made using an advanced 8 nm process, making it more powerful and efficient. It is also equipped with Kryo 465 CPU with a maximum clock-speed of 2.3GHz, and a powerful Adreno 618 GPU, which delivers a powerful gaming experience.
The device is also equipped with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and on the storage side offeres 64 GB and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage which can be further expander upto 256 GB of maximum space through a dedicated slot. Finally, the device is powered by a 4,300 mAh battery and a fast charge of 30 W Flash Charge which is capable of charging the device to 100% in just 1 hour.
At the rear, there is a quad camera setup with Samsung GW1 main module offering a resolution of 64 megapixels, 8MP dedicated to ultra-wide angle of 119°, another 2 MP dedicated to macro mode and a 12 MP telephoto lens. Up front, it sports a 16 MP Sony IMX 471 main sensor and a 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor in a dual setup for selfies.
The Realme 6 Pro features it’s first side fingerprint scanner which ingeniously fuses the power button and fingerprint recognition modules.
The phone comes with a super linear speaker and supports Dolby Atmos as well as Hi-Res Sound Quality features. It also comes with a water-resistant design and uses dual microphone for noise suppression.
The smartphone is equipped with a dual-band Wi-Fi module and a dual-frequency GPS module.
Realme 6 Pro is available in three different gradient colors; blue, red and orange. The chic lightning design embodies an innovative sense of art on the back panel, where the blue lightning is penetrating the clouds, red lightning is full of power and the orange lightning is rolling up on a sandstorm.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NavIC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
The device measures at 163.8mmx75.8mmx8.9mm and weighs 202 grams. The dual-SIM (Nano) Realme 6 Pro runs Android 10 with Realme UI on top.

Realme 6 Pro Price in Nepal
In terms of pricing, the Realme 6 Pro has been priced strategically inline with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro. The device offers slightly better specs at the same price point.
The Realme 6 Pro has been recently launched in Indian market at a price tag of INR 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at INR. 17,999 and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is at INR. 18,999.
