Redmi Note 12 Pro with Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC, 50 MP camera set for Jan Launch
On Monday night 27th October 2022, Xiaomi refreshed it’s Note series with the launch of three new models from the 12 Series.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ models in the Chinese market.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro model falls in the mid-range segment but comes with power-packed specifications as it is in many ways similar to the premium flagship model of this series, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro is powered the same Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC as the Pro+ model. It features a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50 MP primary camera and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 12 Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixel) resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ compatibility; it runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.
As previously stated, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC fuels the device, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a Mali-G68 GPU.
The triple camera setup on the back of the Redmi Note 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS. There is also a 2-megapixel macro sensor and an ultra-wide-angle sensor that can capture images at 8 megapixels. More so, the front-facing camera is 16 megapixels in resolution.
The maximum storage capacity of the smartphone is 256GB of UFS 2.2.

Redmi Note 12 Pro’s base 6GB RAM+128GB storage model costs CNY 1699 (about Rs. 31,050), while the 8GB RAM+128GB storage model costs CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 32,867).
The phone with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 1,999 (about Rs. 36,520), and the one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 40,175).
Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Mirror Porcelain White are the three color options available for these smartphones. Additionally, Shallow Dream Star color option is also available with glitter effect.
