Vivo X100 Ultra

A new live image allegedly showing Vivo’s upcoming X100 Ultra flagship smartphone has surfaced online, providing a first look at the device’s design and highlighting its massive 200-megapixel rear camera setup.

The leaked image, which appeared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, appears to confirm previous rumors and render leaks about the Vivo X100 Ultra’s design language. The phone seems to feature a curved display with minimal bezels and a centered punch-hole selfie camera cutout.

However, the standout element is the device’s massive circular camera bump protruding from the back panel. This camera island houses what is claimed to be a 200MP primary sensor, which would make the X100 Ultra the first smartphone in the world to boast such a high-resolution camera system.

Previous leaks have suggested that the 200MP camera could use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and support for 16K video recording at 25 frames per second (fps). The camera setup is also rumored to include a periscope-style telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and an ultrawide shooter.

Aside from the camera specifications, not much is known about the Vivo X100 Ultra’s other hardware details. However, leaks point to the inclusion of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The device is also expected to feature blazing-fast charging speeds, with support for 100W wired and 60W wireless charging capabilities.

Vivo has not officially announced a launch date for the X100 Ultra yet, but rumors suggest the device could be unveiled sometime in the second quarter of 2023.

If the leaks and rumors prove accurate, the Vivo X100 Ultra could be a game-changer in the smartphone photography domain, potentially setting new standards for mobile imaging prowess. Tech enthusiasts and photography buffs will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on further developments surrounding this highly anticipated flagship.
