Ford Freestyle to redefine the CUV segment in Nepal
Go Automobiles has launched its latest global product offering, the Ford Freestyle in Nepal. The new vehicle from Ford is a cool, capable and connected compact utility vehicle (CUV) for Nepali consumers.
The latest product from Ford combines SUV-like design, benchmark performance, innovative in-car technology and outstanding fuel efficiency. The CUV is based on the Figo hatchback.
Director of GO Automobiles Akash Golchha stated that the Ford Freestyle is more than just a crossover as it is packed with various features that consumers can look forward to. The new vehicle is being displayed at Labim Mall in the Capital and those who book the Ford Freestyle will receive shopping coupons worth Rs25,000.
According to the company, the all-new Ford Freestyle embodies the aspirations of free-spirited buyers who are uninhibited and love to live life to the fullest. It uses design elements more commonly found on pricier SUVs to portray a striking-look and a commanding stance. Pushing the rugged look on the Freestyle is the dynamic, three-dimensional mesh grille on the front and sweeping straight lines across the vehicle. The vehicle also sports an integrated skid plate on the front bumper.
Ford has gone all out to boost the rugged look of the Ford Freestyle with black-out high contrast headlamps, fog lamp bezel, roof mounted spoiler with integrated brake lights, LED taillamps and rear windshield wiper. The vehicle also gets integrated turn signal lights with the ORVMs, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers.
Powering the Ford Freestyle is the company’s all-new three cylinder 1.2L TiVCT petrol engine that promises outstanding fuel efficiency and power.
The naturally aspirated engine claims to deliver the best in class 96 PS of peak power and 120 Nm of torque. Customers can also opt for the tried and tested 1.5L diesel engine option that generates 100 PS of peak power and 215 Nm of torque.
Freestyle aims to deliver sporty performance in all driving conditions and features uniquely tuned suspension with increased track-width, high ground clearance, TCS, ABS with EBD and more. The new vehicle will continue Ford’s focus on safety, offering up to six airbags.
Ford has also introduced Active Rollover Prevention (ARP) in the Freestyle to allow customers to drive safely in extreme situations without compromising on the fun-to-drive elements. Combined with Electronic Stability Control, the ARP system will be able to automatically detect potential rollover situations by applying brakes to individuals tyres and decrease engine torque.
Inside the cabin of the Freestyle, customers will notice the floating infotainment display immediately. Similar to the one found on the EcoSport, the 6.5 inch high resolution touch screen display gets smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the company’s SYNC3 connectivity system.
This feature will be offered on all variants.
