Coolpad has finally unveiled the Coolpad COOL 20 Pro in it’s home country China. According to its name, the Coolpad COOL 20 Pro is an upgraded version of the Coolpad COOL 20 that launched earlier this year. In addition to 5G connectivity, the new model offers enhancements in nearly every category.
Features and specifications of the Coolpad COOL 20 Pro
There is a striking resemblance between the new Coolpad COOL 20 Pro and the original Coolpad COOL 20. The display has a dewdrop notch and a flat frame. Weighing 193 grams, it’s available in five shades of matte glass and is 162.8 x 74.8 x 8.3 millimeters in size.
With a 6.58-inch LCD display and a 120Hz refresh rate, the phone has an FHD+ resolution. A DCI-P3 color gamut is supported by the screen, and it has 2048 levels of dimming.
Up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are provided by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. Powered by COOL OS 2.0 and Huawei’s EROFS file system, it also has up to 5 GB of virtual RAM.
There is a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor on the back of the phone, so the optics are quite impressive. There is an 8MP camera on the front of the phone for taking selfies and making video calls. In this case, ArcSoft provides the imaging algorithm.
Another set of features includes a 1318 dual stereo speaker system with Dirac sound, as well as a 3.5mm headphone connector and USB Type-C port. There is a 4,500mAh battery inside, which supports 33W rapid charging, but there is no charger included in the box.
Coolpad COOL20 Pro Price and Availability
Chinese consumers will be able to purchase the Coolpad COOL 20 Pro for one of the following prices.
- CNY 1,799 ($282) for 6GB + 128GB
- CNY 2,099 ($330) for 8GB and 128GB
Pre-orders for the phone have already begun, and it will be available for purchase at 12 a.m. on December 1st. Limited quantities of the base model will be available at a discounted price of 1,599 ($251).
A 90-day replacement guarantee and a two-year warranty are unique features of this phone.
