JioBook Launched With Snapdragon 665 Chipset, 11.6-Inch Display in India: Price, Specifications
The first-ever laptop from Reliance Jio, the JioBook, was announced at this month’s India Mobile Congress and is now available to customers in India through Reliance Digital’s online store.
The budget laptop’s full specifications, including its 11.6-inch screen, Snapdragon 665 SoC, and a 5000mAh battery, were first made public via the Government e-Marketplace, where it was sold exclusively to resellers.
The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate created the low-cost laptop in collaboration with global giants Qualcomm and Microsoft to match the success of the company’s low-cost JioPhone in the extremely price-conscious Indian market.
Details on the JioBook’s features and specs
The JioBook has a high-definition display measuring in at 11.6 inches, with a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels.
The laptop’s low price tag is due in part to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and Adreno 610 GPU inside. The laptop has 32GB of built-in eMMC storage and a microSD card slot for expansion to a maximum of 128GB.
The JioBook has a 5,000mAh battery, and the manufacturer claims it will last for more than 8 hours on a single charge. The laptop has a passive cooling mechanism built into it to help with this.
JioOS, developed by Jio specifically for its first laptop, is said to be optimized for lightweight performance.
In the JioBook, Qualcomm’s Arm-based computing chip provides the power, while Microsoft’s Windows OS and application support are provided. JioStore, a digital marketplace for third-party software, will come pre-loaded on the laptop.
JioBook comes standard with a 4G SIM card and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a mini HDMI port. The laptop has two 1-watt stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 2-megapixel webcam for online chatting and video calls.
According to Jio, users will have to visit the nearest Jio Store with ICCID (SIM number) in order to complete their KYC and choose their preferred data plans, which will activate the inbuilt SIM card for usage on the JioBook.

Reliance Jiobook Price in India
The JioBook by Reliance has been released with a price tag of INR. 15,799(NRs 25,285) and is now available to customers in India through the e-commerce platform provided by Reliance Digital. The low-cost laptop was listed on GeM for INR. 19,500, but that price was only available to resellers. The JioBook, however, has just been released in India through Reliance Digital at a significantly reduced price.
Furthermore, customers who pay for their laptops with credit cards from Axis, Kotak, ICICI, HDFC, AU, INDUSIND, DBS, Yes, and other major banks will receive an instant discount of ten percent.
