MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the official dealer of ŠKODA cars for Nepal has launched a new vehicle in Nepali market.
Under Skoda’s Nepal 2.0 vision, the company has further expanded its SUV portfolio by unveiling the new Skoda Karoq. The new Skoda Karoq is a completely new compact SUV from Skoda Auto, one of the world’s oldest and established car brands from Czech Republic.
Embracing the Skoda legacy, the new Skoda Karoq features modern design, generous shape, ‘class leading’ safety and ‘intelligent connectivity’ features that guarantee a ‘premium driving’ experience and unmatched ‘cabin comfort’.
Skoda’s latest SUV is available in Nepal in two variants – Ambition and Ambition Plus. Both the variants come with a turbocharged diesel engine with a 2.0-liter, 6-speed automatic transmission that produces a maximum of 105 kW and 320 Nm of torque.
This versatile SUV shares its platform with the VW Tiguan, but looks different in appearance and interior.
The KAROQ measures 4,382 mm in length, is 1,841 mm wide, and 1,624 mm high. The increase in size benefits passengers. The wheelbase of 2,638 mm gives the ŠKODA KAROQ a comfortable stance on the road and suggests the generously proportioned interior. The long wheelbase not only increases the space inside but also carves out a boot space of 521 litres, the largest within its class, which extends to 1,630 litres with the rear seats, capable of a 60:40 split, folded down thereby making space for business, pleasure, and practical essentials.
The fascia of the new KAROQ is dominated by distinctive chrome surround on the ŠKODA signature radiator grille, characteristic LED headlamps with illuminated ‘eyelashes’, and sharply drawn fog lamps with cornering function. The dual tone Anthracite 43.18 cm (R17) Aronia alloy wheels, silver roof railings, crisp chrome garnish around the side window frames intensify the premium feel of this new ŠKODA SUV. The ŠKODA KAROQ opens up new vistas with the electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof with bounce back system that enhances the feeling of space.
At the rear, the KAROQ dons crystalline elements in the ŠKODA-typical C-shaped LED taillights. The ‘ŠKODA’ block letters on the tailgate supplanted the traditional winged arrow insignia. It reflects the evolution of the ŠKODA design philosophy, now ‘Simply Surprising’, and is a perfect testament to the brand’s profound self-confidence.
The new KAROQ gets silver décor on the dashboard with Stone Beige perforated leather upholstery. The decorative elements are black and gracefully complemented by chrome highlights. The twelve way electrically adjustable driver seat with programmable memory functions and lumbar support, come as standard.
The LED ambient lighting, running along the inside of the new KAROQ, offers ten programmable interior colour options. The foot well offers diffused LED lighting at front and rear.
The state of the art 20.32 cm floating capacitive touch display, with proximity sensor, features a glass design and is a part of the new generation Amundsen Infotainment and Navigation System developed by ŠKODA AUTO. The new KAROQ is equipped with SmartLink™ technology (ŠKODA connectivity bundle supporting MirrorLink™, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto) that mirrors a smartphone for seamless connectivity and undistracted drive; besides supporting voice command control, SD card reader, USB ports, and Bluetooth® GSM telephony and audio streaming options.
The new KAROQ features the Virtual Cockpit, a customizable digital instrument panel that offers a ‘Simply Clever’ perspective on comprehensive driving data and navigation.
The intelligent Two Zone Climatronic air conditioning system, with Air Care function, enables different temperatures to be set for the front and rear passengers.
It is also fitted with a humidity sensor, which reduces windscreen misting, and a sun sensor. The Boarding spot lamps, designated to illuminate the entry area, are located on the external side view mirrors. Furthermore, the ŠKODA KAROQ also comes equipped with cruise control and automatic rain sensing wipers.
Skoda Karoq Price in Nepal
In Nepal, the Skoda Karoq Ambition is priced at Rs 11.5 million and the Karoq Ambition Plus is priced at Rs 12.5 million.
