MAW Enterprises, Nepal’s official dealer for Skoda, has launched the new Rapid TSI in the Nepali market. The ŠKODA RAPID is a masterpiece in the truest sense. It stays loyal to the brand’s timeless design ideals while simultaneously incorporating avant-garde elements.
The new Skoda Rapid is powered by a TSI engine previously used in premium models such as the Skoda Superb and Skoda Octavia.
The new petrol engine TSI produces 110 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque. The new TSI engine produces 5 percent more power and 14 percent more torque than the previous generation Rapid 1.6 MPi. The company claims that it gives mileage of 18.97 kilometers per liter. This ‘fuel efficiency’ is also 23 percent higher than the previous rapid.
It has a 460-liter ‘best-in-class’ boot space and a 55-liter fuel tank. Also, all variants of the new Rapid have ‘rear AC vent’, ‘automatic climatronic AC’, ’tilt and telescopic steering’.
It also has safety features like ‘Park Tronic Rear Parking Sensor’, ‘Anti-Glare Interior Rear View Mirror’, ‘Rough Road Package’, ‘Fuel Supply Cut-Off’ and ‘Engine Immobilizer’ including ‘Floating Code System’.
MAW provides a four-year service package on the new Skoda Rapid TSI 1.0. In addition, the company has also arranged a warranty of four years or 100,000 kilometers.

The company has priced Skoda Rapid TSI 1.0 variants at Rs 34,90,000 for Rider, Rs 36,90,000 for Rider Plus, Rs 43,90,000 for Ambition, Rs 44,90,000 for Onyx, Rs 50,90,000 for Style and Rs 51,90,000 for Monte Carlo.
