After long weeks of rumors and leaks, Vivo S7 was finally officially presented during an event that took place in China. Although Vivo is not one of the most popular brand in several global markets, it is important that we start taking their new smartphones into consideration.
One of the most popular mid-range smartphones recently launched is the OnePlus Nord, which promises to offer an exceptional price / quality ratio. However, this Vivo S7 has everything so that it can present itself as a rival to the height of the new OnePlus, both in price and in specifications.
Certainly the main “weak point” of this smartphone is the fact that it is not yet known if it will even be launched globally, and may only be available through the usual online stores.
The Vivo S7 features a 6.44 inch AMOLED Full HD + screen with a 20: 9 aspect ratio with a promise of 98.5% fidelity in NTSC, HDR colors and a 60Hz refresh rate. One of the points that draws the most attention is that this smartphone has a a centralized notch to house its dual-setup cameras of 44MP and 8MP resolution.
At the rear, we have a square module for camera setup in the upper left corner with three cameras, the main one being a 64MP sensor with electronic video stabilization and Super Night mode. Below, an 8MP sensor for ultra wide and macro and a 2MP for depth is incorporated.
A point worth noting when it comes to design and finishing is that three color variants are offered – the Monet version (blue and purple) is slightly thicker than the versions in white or black.
The device combines a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset with 8GB of dual channel LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, without the possibility of expansion, in addition to a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 33W.
For connectivity options : Vivo S7 brings in addition to support for 5G connectivity (SA / NSA), the possibility of navigation in dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and LDAC, as well as integrated NFC antenna.
