Tata Hexa enters Nepali market
Tata Motors kicked off the launch of their latest SUV, the Hexa, in Nepal by delivering the first batch of cars to 11 customers. CEO and MD of Tata Motors, Guenter Butschek was present during the launch event to hand over the keys to the first batch of buyers.
The Hexa is priced at Rs7,795,000 and will be available in the XT 4×4 variant across Nepal, reads a press release.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Butschek said, “At Tata Motors, we have always been at the fore-front of providing a rich and dynamic product experience to our customers through our products and the new Hexa reinforces this commitment. We are confident that this vehicle will be an instant hit and excite customers in Nepal”.
According to Tata, the Hexa is their most most awaited lifestyle SUV to hit the market. It is powered by a 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine that produces 156 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. The XT 4×4 variant available in Nepal comes with a 6 speed manual transmission. The Hexa features ‘Super Drive Modes’ that can be activated through a well-placed rotary knob on the centre console. This feature allows the driver to select from four different driving modes—Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road—to customise the driving experience according to the respective terrain as well as the mood of the driver.
The Hexa is able to achieve multiple driving experiences through a flawless combination of the vehicles’ engine management, new-generation electronic stability programme and torque on demand, states the press release.
Other aspects of the car that can be customised by the user are the instrument cluster and ambient lighting for the interior.
Tata Motor claims that the Hexa is packed with segment-leading features such as
projector headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, 6 airbags, traction control system, hill hold control, hill descent control, automatic headlamps and a 10-speaker audio system from JBL among others.
