BYD Dolphin 2025 Edition Launched in Nepal, Redefining Electric Hatchback Standards

Cimex Inc., the official distributor of BYD Auto Industry Company in Nepal, has launched the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the BYD Dolphin, redefining the standards of electric hatchbacks in Nepal.

Building on the success of its previous version, this upgraded BYD Dolphin 2025 incorporates numerous advanced features.

Most notably, it is the first in the EV industry to use a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Low Voltage Battery (LVB), replacing traditional lead-acid batteries. This new battery is 6 times lighter and has 5 times less self-discharge compared to conventional batteries, with a potential lifespan of up to 15 years.

According to the company, this battery sets a new global standard for low-voltage energy storage and reliability. The LFP Low Voltage Battery will come with an 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty.

The BYD Dolphin 2025 continues to feature the state-of-the-art BYD e-Platform 3.0 and the safe Blade Battery technology, offering a WLTP range of 340 km. It boasts DC charging capability, allowing the battery to be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Key New Features added in the 2025 edition:

  • Tuned Suspension: Enhanced for sporty handling to improve performance across Nepal’s diverse terrains.
  • Impressive LED Headlights: Providing better visibility during nighttime driving.
  • Improved AC System: With advanced cooling and heating efficiency.
  • New Special Features: Such as mobile phone NFC key, Bluetooth key, and passenger door switch.

A new attractive Atlantis Grey color has also been added to this edition, expanding BYD Dolphin’s official color options to three. The vehicle will now be available in Atlantis Grey, Urban Grey, and Ski White colors.

With all these added technologies and features, the BYD Dolphin 2025 is competitively priced at NPR 4,115,000, which includes a 7kW home charger.

Furthermore, during the public launch event, BYD Dolphin celebrated the achievement of completing 830,000 units delivered globally. Among these, the 2,490th unit was delivered in Nepal.
