Hero MotoCorp is perhaps the most trusted brand in the commuter motorcycle segment, but breaking away from its comfort zone, the company has come up with an indigenously developed sports bike – the Xtreme 200R. The motorcycle has been recently launched in Nepal.
The Xtreme 200R is a clear step up from the 149cc Xtreme Sports, which is still on sale. Its motor is a heavily reworked unit from the Achiever 150 and offers a substantial increment in terms of output figures – 18.4hp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
Transmission is via a five-speed unit and the engine is a conventional, carbureted, air-cooled two-valve unit. Braking is taken care of by a 276mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Single-channel ABS is part of standard equipment.
When it comes to aesthetics, the Xtreme 200R features a hefty fuel tank that gives the bike an intimidating look. Aerodynamic fairings and a sporty design give this motorcycle a more alluring appearance.
The front halogen headlight and fender are quite large. For your convenience, the handlebars on this motorcycle are extra broad.
It has halogen headlights and daytime running lights, but the LED taillights are shaped like eyebrows. There is only one seat in the back, and there is also a grab bar. This motorcycle’s short muffler cover in a sleek black finish is a nice touch.
This motorcycle is also offered in three more color combinations: black with Sport Red, panther black with force silver, and techno blue.
The vehicle does not yet have a BS6-compliant engine or Fuel Injection(FI) technology.
The transmission is a five-speed gearbox, which allows for easy and quick shifting.
It can supposedly travel as fast as 114 kilometers per hour.

Hero Xtreme 200R Price in Nepal 2023
Nepal General Marketing Pvt. Ltd , the sole authorised dealer for Hero two-wheelers in Nepal has revealed the pricing for Xtreme 200R and the price is set at Rs.2,95,500.
The Bajaj NS 200, the KTM Duke 200, and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V are some of its main rivals.
The Hero Xtreme 200R can be purchased at any of the company’s stores in Nepal.
