Hyundai launches Ioniq electric car in Nepali market

Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorised dealer of Hyundai four wheelers in Nepali market has launched its new electric vehicle Hyundai Ioniq 2020 in Nepali market.

Hyundai has just revealed the new generation of the electric car IONIQ 2020, which was first launched in 2017. The new model now comes with updated look which is now more refined and features technological interior with the addition of new batteries with 36% greater storage capacity that allows the Hyundai IONIQ 2020 to go even further in terms of mileage.

The Hyundai Ioniq 2020 receives refreshed exterior and interior designs, added infotainment technology and new Hyundai SmartSense™ active safety features and driving assistance systems. Drivers of the new 2020 IONIQ Electric can also enjoy 311 km of range thanks to an upgraded 38.3-kWh battery with 36% more energy capacity.This 36% gain will allow an estimated increase of about 80 kilometers in terms of autonomy.

Its electric engine develops the equivalent of 136 horsepower and 29.5 kgfm of torque. The charging time has also been reduced, using a 100 kW fast charging station, 80% of the charge is obtained in 54 minutes.

Meanwhile, the IONIQ Electric takes a cue from the Kona Electric by adopting one-pedal driving capability. You can stop the car by simply holding onto the left paddle shift lever with often no need to engage the brake pedal.

When it comes to safety, all redesigned 2020 IONIQ models are equipped with a comprehensive Hyundai SmartSense technology package. This cutting-edge driver assistance system constantly monitors the environment around the car alerting drivers to potential hazards while on the road. It includes standard Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist and Driver Attention Warning.

Highway Driving Assist and Lane Following Assist can be added to make long trips less stressful and more comfortable.

Inside, the list of changes includes a new upper and lower instrument panel, new console upper cover, touch-sensitive heating and cooling controls, customizable ambient lighting and piano key controls. A new eight-inch Display Audio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard, while a 10.25-inch display with navigation is optional.

The vehicles also gets an integrated Blue Link connectivity services so drivers can remotely start and stop the vehicle, lock or unlock the doors, schedule and monitor charging, and control air conditioning via a smartphone app.

The new Ioniq EV with 38.3 kWh battery has been priced at NRs 59.96 Lakhs in Nepali market.
