In the coming year 2079 BS, the employees of banks and financial institutions will get 44 more days of leave excluding Saturdays.
Nepal Rastra Bank has made public the information related to next year’s leave today. Accordingly, employees of banks and financial institutions will get 44 days leave next year except Saturday. This includes public holidays only in the Kathmandu Valley and later as decided by the government.
The bank has given 6 days leave on Dashain and 5 days on Tihar next year. Similarly, bank employees will get half day leave every Friday.
Apart from public holidays, the office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. These office hours will be applicable from Baisakh 1 to Kartik 15 and from Magh 16 to the end of Chaitra. Banks will provide it’s services from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Similarly, the office hours will be from 10 am to 4 pm from Kartik 16 to Magh 15. On Fridays, the office hours will remain from 10 am to 1:30 pm. Banks will provide it’s services from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
NRB has clarified that the public holidays will be applicable announced by the state government in its respective states.
