Nissan Magnite compact SUV launched in Nepali market
Pioneer Moto Corp, has announced the price and commenced bookings of the all-new Nissan Magnite across all Nissan dealerships in the country and on its website.
The big, bold, beautiful and ‘carismatic’ SUV is available at a special introductory price of Rs 2.949 million.
“The all-new Nissan Magnite marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Nissan NEXT strategy for the Nepali and the global market. The all new Nissan Magnite comes with more than 20 first-in-class and best- in-segment features that provides consumers with a differentiated, innovative and accessible ownership experience,” Sinan Ozkok, president, Nissan Motor India and South Asia Markets, has been quoted as saying in a media release.
In line with Nissan’s philosophy of continuous innovation to deliver enriching experiences, Nissan’s renowned technologies are provided across the model range, including cruise control and 360-degree around view monitor. “We believe the Nissan Magnite will be a disruptive game changer that is high on technology and aspirations,” said Sandeep Sharda, managing director, Pioneer Moto Corp.
The Nissan Magnite is available in five variants and two engine options. It comes with features like an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, and LED headlamps. Nissan also provides the Tech Pack, an accessory kit that includes a wireless charger, an air purifier, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting, and puddle lamps.
Nissan offers the Magnite with two petrol engine options: a 72PS 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 100PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. The Magnite comes equipped with a 5-speed manual as standard while the turbo-petrol engine also gets the option of a CVT. The turbo-petrol engine has a claimed efficiency of 17.7kmpl with the CVT, and 20kmpl with the manual transmission, whereas the naturally aspirated unit offers a mileage of 18.75kmpl.
The Magnite is available in five broad variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O).The naturally aspirated petrol engine is limited for the first four variants, whereas the turbo-petrol will be offered across the top variants. The CVT, which comes with the turbo-petrol option, is available with the XL, XV and XV Premium only.
Safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitor and electronic stability control. Nissan offers an additional Tech Pack for the XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O) variants which adds features such as an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, and a JBL sound system.
The Nissan Magnite rivals the Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Ford Ecosport, and the Renault Kiger.
