Samsung Galaxy S10 receives Android Security Patch Feb 2020

The Galaxy S10 series devices started to receive the security patch of the Android operating system, referring to the month of February 2020. The update comes with version number G97xFXXU4BTA8 and in addition to the February 2020 security patch, it comes with improvements in the overall stability of functions.

Android Security Patch rollout for February 2020

For those who don’t know, the February 2020 security patch fixes dozens of Samsung’s vulnerabilities and some issues that affect the Android operating system.

As we write this, the update is rolling out in nearly 15 countries, including the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Malaysia. The update sports firmware version G975xXXU4BTA8 and, in addition to the February 2020 security patch, brings “improvements to the overall stability of functions.”

The Samsung patch portion is considerably larger, as the fixes for Samsung’s 30 Vulnerabilities and Exposures (EVS) items are included in the patch. They are all very technical, so we will not go into details, but the end result is that the new security patch further improves the security of qualified Galaxy devices. The update file is around 316 MB in size.

The security patch will be available across all versions of Galaxy S10, namely Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10+ .

Additionally, the new firmware also includes some improvements for the camera, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

The security patch is being rolled out across different regions and may be available at one your regions too. To check , one has to go to Settings> Software Update menu of your smartphone to check it manuall.
